Nov. 1, 2024 –The Farm Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (FEMA) elected Craig Harthoorn, President of Oxbo Forage, as President of the Board of Directors during its Fall Marketing & Distribution Convention in Addison, TX.
In his role, Harthoorn will work alongside other industry leaders from across North America representing shortline manufacturers, a vital segment of the farm equipment industry, who design equipment to complement mass-produced lines.
Founded in 1967, H&S Manufacturing built a reputation for producing high-quality hay and forage equipment, including forage boxes, manure spreaders, and hay rakes. Harthoorn joined H&S Manufacturing in 2017 and led the company through the 2023 acquisition by Oxbo. The H&S brand is now part of the Oxbo Forage division.
“I am honored to serve as President of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association,” said Harthoorn. “In 2025, I plan to emphasize the digital space advancements in the agricultural sector and promote applied technology in both products and manufacturing processes. During 2025 and beyond, you will see more activities and events focused on these technologies. We’ll also celebrate the Association’s 75th anniversary, marking an important milestone for us.”
Harthoorn joins the 16-member governing board of the Association, headquartered in St. Louis, which serves as a voice and advocate for companies across the U.S. and Canada. The Association supports the entire shortline supply chain, from resource providers to manufacturers and marketers.
Harthoorn and his wife, Karlyn, split their time between Marshfield, WI, and Pella, IA, and have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
